Though many of their songs are now more wistful than wacky

they rocked like red-blooded Americans and both sides of their 45 are top notch

The album has a more country sound than his first solo album, with dirty electric guitars dominating the sound. The best songs are the first three (which include the excellent guitar riffage of Fiction) and the final three (which contains Tims Letter to Gene: a letter to Tims childhood idol Gene Simmons who he later met, discovering that Gene was only in music for the money and women).
