The icon of the boy and chick derives from an old nursery rhyme saying "If you're close enough to put salt on the tail of a bird then you're close enough to catch it

All the better that handwritten right upon it is the history of its making: “Made from 1 piece red elm 1942 by Corina Layson”

Roses in Window (2 of 3) Glass Plate Negative head on spring I believe the form isThis is one of three 5" x 7" antique glass plate negatives in the shop capturing arrangements of roses in front of windows. Pretty unusual, I think they are wonderful both as images and objects, and would probably prop them just as is in a windowsill, which is how I photographed them. I believe they probably date to the 1910s or 20s. Really lovely. Good condition, with a white sticker (showing black in the photo) on which is written "Window Roses 2"
