I have long admired these sorts of tiles-- produced in the 18th and 19th century during the Qajar period in Persia--which very frequently feature hunters on horses like this one

I purchased this piece because I loved the image of this pink cheeked runner in his white outfit and those brown shoes that don't look especially great for running

With a little feeling around, you can find two center pieces that have some give, and will pull all the way out to start to deconstruct it. I'm a little nervous to try, content to treat it as a great looking little modernist sculpture with a secret but you may be braver than I! Late 60s or 1970s I'd guess,
