Gorgeous Rusty Woven Iron Antique Trivet toy skeleton I think the pointy yellow

I think the pointy yellow shards emerging from the mouth of this strange creature do a pretty great job of giving form to a shrill cry

are lightweight enough to throw in a suitcase--or a picnic basket

with a white sticker (showing black in the photo) on which is written "Window Roses 2" in pencil

It is in very good condition but the sinew holding one of the legs is a bit loose

Gorgeous Rusty Woven Iron Antique Trivet toy skeleton I think the pointy yellowI am completely obsessed with this thing, which I believe is a trivet, woven I'd guess 150 years ago or so of iron strips of varying lengths and widths, folded over at the ends to hold it together. Between the overall form, the pattern and texture of the woven strips, and the variegated color of the now well rusted iron, I find it just an exquisitely beautiful thing that I would hang on the wall straight away, and consider as a sculpture and painting
