SOLD Very Tender, Densely Knit, Heavy Wool Presumed Antique Swedish Child's Mittens with Embroidery and Fringe hand-painted mask 14 1/2" t x 4I just fell in love with these, knit for a child (or an adult with very small hands) quite a long time ago. There is a similar pair in the collection of the Nordiska Museum in Stockholm (a marvelous place!) that tells me they are likely Swedish; I have found an image of some Icelandic mittens several hundred years old they are kin to as well.
